Code of Conduct

FANTASYMANIA CODE OF CONDUCT

FantasyMania started at Huntington University in 2009 and the tradition of our league is as rich and spirited as ever. Through it, we remain connected to HU as our common home and meeting place.
Fun, colorful, and ever-changing, our free-to-play fantasy league also provides a creative outlet for the football geek, general manager, stats-nerd, and graphic designer in all of us. Everyone in FantasyMania brings something to the table. Each person contributes to the culture of the league and is encouraged to share their personality, time, and gifts. That's what makes this league so special and unique.

Fantasy football is a competitive game and each team owner is expected to put some heart into their draft, roster, trades, and waiver moves. If you don't want to win (at least at some level), then this isn't the league for you. Winning, however, is only a part of the game - it's not everything. This Code of Conduct exists for the purpose of finding a balance between friendship and competition - FantasyMania requires both. Without trust, the league cannot survive; without competition, the league loses its character and appeal.

Anti-competitive behavior can threaten league camaraderie:

1. Collusion: secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others

2. Insider Trading: using confidential information to one's own advantage

Avoid these practices. If you're unsure, consult with another member of the league.

Take the opportunity to put these values into practice:

1. Trade unto others as you would have them trade unto you

2. Use the league as a creative outlet

3. Contribute to league discussions

4. Respond intentionally and respectfully to disagreements or behavior you disapprove of

It is my hope that this Code of Conduct will serve to remove some uncertainty as to what is and is not fair play. I also trust that it will give league members a better sense of what FantasyMania is all about.

Yours,

LM Brandon
