🏈 This was an embarrassing year for your league manager. We expanded the league to 10 teams, and I made the mistake of similarly expanding the playoff field (from 8 teams to 10). This put the Chandler Bowl a week behind schedule. By the time I realized my mistake, we'd already set the date for the Christmas Awards Party. Since Sarah was the odds-on favorite to defeat Tim, we presumptuously awarded her the title and championship belt. Much to my chagrin, Tim's Spain Montoyas pulled of a heroic Chandler Bowl upset against the Great Golden Ball-winning, #1 seed, 10-3 Dathomiri Harem Boys. Not only did Tim spoil my bid at a three-peat and knock me out of the Final Four, he rubbed my face in this scheduling snafu.

🏈 2013 was The Year of Parity. Only one team, the Dathomiri Harem Boys (Sarah), won double-digit games (10-3). The rest of the league finished with both single-digit wins and single-digit losses.

🏈 In 2013 FantasyMania V: StarWars, every team in the Empire Division finished 6-7. At 6-6, Hochuli’s Gun Show (Boyer) had a chance to win the division outright in week 13, but lost 128-121.5 to KittyLinkxxx (Megan). With Boyer’s loss, Cary’s RG-3PO had a chance to clinch the division, but lost to Jeff’s Fighting Enterprises 115.5-86.5, which lifted Jeff to 6-7 and created a 5-way tie (Harnish’s victory over Corey that week put the two of them at 6-7, as well). Jeff won the tiebreaker (division record of 5-4 vs. Corey, Dave, and Harnish at 4-4) and took home his first Division Championship.

🏈 The Macho Madness won the league title in 2011 and 2012 but their bid at a threepeat fell short in the 2013 Final Four, where they were defeated by the Spain Montoyas (Tim) 145.5-119.5. On the other side of the bracket, the Dathomiri Harem Boys (Sarah) squeaked by Hochuli’s Gun Show (Boyer) 113-104. The 2013 title game was nearly a repeat of 2012 (Boyer vs. Harnish), but alas, it was not meant to be. The Spain Montoyas would go on to upset the #1 seeded Harem Boys and win the Chandler Harnish Bowl. Thus began the husband vs. wife “Unholy Rivalry.”

🏈 Wes has won the Last Place Award 6 straight times. After a 3-1 start in 2013, it seemed his fortunes were changing. The wheels fell off, however, and he finished the season 5-8.
